For the first time in SES London history, Danny Sullivan was missing from the keynote speech. in his place, Chris Sherman interviewed Matt Cutts. During this session, Matt talked about personalisation and how SEO's can change their current methods to cope with the change. He also went on to talk about the Google Webmaster console which has now come out of beta. My question is how do you guys think it will effect SEO? Will we end up doing more PR type stuff? The other thing I wanted to ask was has anyone played with the links tool on the webmaster console? How often is it updated? You can check out the transcript over at Seach Engine Roundtable or watch whole thing on video over at seotutorials.org.
The link tool on the webmaster console (I suppose you mean google webmaster tools) has not been around long enough for anybody to know how often it is updated. As for public relations (PR) : Yes, I do think that's a big part of SEO already.
