I'm sure some people don't like Matt, but I see no reason to dislike him. He has a job to do and we have our jobs. Sometimes they collide if people don't follow the rules. And that is the rule breakers fault and not his. Google is really clear what is and is not acceptable. Follow the rules and don't take it out on Matt if you get spanked!
To me he looks rather like that short dumpy computer nerd from stargate universe. Apart from that I don't like nor dislike him.
Great Question. Almost every SEO i know, knows MATT CUTTS. The friendly neighborhood superhero. Its up to a person if you believe on his words or follow his crusade. You dont have to read his mouth though but understand his thought
I don't understand why to don't like him. he's telling us a lot of great things but you need to know to read what he say. Of course he can say a true "true", because some people would profit by that or they will force things...
I could live with or without him. At least google does have some kind of spokesman for the web site or webmaster world. I don't watch them very often, but occasionally I do come across one that is a little funny. It does seem like the moment he posts something to his blog he has tons of comments.
In a way its rather depressing to think some people who dabble in SEO don't even know what position Matt Cutts is in for Google. I admit I don't have anything personally against him, I have a problem against the people that follow his word for word, if he said jump they'd jump.
