Always provide unique content. Don't worry too much about keyword density, and get traffic beyond just search engines. You can't place all your traffic resources in search engines. Their rules are constantly changing... it seems like they are trying to penalize anything related to seo. So focus your strategies in other methods.

In a sense this has always been true, ive known for years any site that has a ton of backlinks in a short time or looks un-natural will either get knocked off the rankings or has no effect the only difference is their giving other sites better chances. Anyone could write new content it takes like 10 mins to write a good 500 word article, and how would the spider determine if its good content can it interpret an article that is good and worth reading? In my opinion the only thing the spider can do is judge if its unique to other content out there... so just write new content a few times a week put some images in there and a video or two i guess your set?
