Are you scraping from sites like AutoShopper? Or are you updating from the dealer's xml feed? If your scraping it could be dangerous, but at least you are giving source credit. Either way, you are competing with big dogs like AutoTrader,Cars.com,Yahoo Autos, LemonFree, and CarGurus (and hundreds of others). They are mature have have tons of authority

Where I am confused at is: I have a article web site where I post tons of articles on many different subjects with permission from the writers and I give credit back to the writers web site. I also get my info by RRS feeds and other sources - again I give full credit back to my sources. Is this now a huge no no?

I don't consider myself a spammer by any means ( see my post & question above please ). I get permission before posting said articles.

I think when they announce a change to the algorithm it's for a reason, like to stir the pot. Maybe it's just for publicity and to make the public feel like something is being done about spam or bad search results.

I take anything that is publicized with a 'grain of salt'.

So that means that sites like techmeme.com should fall into those 2%?

the after effects can create some issue with the blogs and news websites because they copy paste from the news wire...

Content is always king. I like this algorithm update by Google but wonder at the same time why they can not implement it on a large scale. There are still a lot of sites which manage themselves to cheat Google on duplicate content issues

Probably it's true. But some changes in SERPs are really happened. Yet no full picture to understand exactly what was affected...

    OHH MY GOD !!!!!

Do they really have to change the algorithm every single day ???

i'm so tired of applying and obeying those algos

he made an announcement and now i'm going to :

I Will not Give a shiP anymore for Google PageRank

All my Caring is now about my Alexa rank and Indexing Power .

i followed my PageRank for over 3 years and i did get a high rankings but hardly to keep'em for over 3 months .

I've noticed a few subtle changes but nothing major or drastic. Guess it might depend on what one is searching for and maybe time will tell. Doesn't seem like anything to get too worked up about at least yet anyway.

Offcourse they'll be looking for something like exact copies because most webmasters including the ones here copy articles after adjusting them to make them copyscape passed so surely google's algorithm won't affect those.

I wonder what it'll do to the article directories thou with users submitting duplicate contents on multiple directories.

lol it's one of the reasons people should always create original content. You just never know when something might change & at least with original content, you can say it's 100% yours.

    LOL

If you have original content and do things the right way then you'll generally never have to worry about things like this.
