Ya Google always prefer the unique and quality contents, So always use unique and fresh contents for better results.
Is this something relevant to changes in site:domain.com/* ??? It is the way to find how many pages are correctly indexed by google
tell me if this site looks like content spam?... carsearch.biz . All I can say is that, the traffic went down to single digits since January last week.
I have to check my friend's site, the website has got millions of pages, but mine is very short with just 300 pages but unique content. I hope GOOGLE will value real people who are publishing unique content.
Internet is full of duplicate content. When you duplicate with permission you are a good guy, when you scrap without the permission you are a bad guy. But your content is exactly the same. Unique content doesn't mean original content. Duplicate content doesn't mean stolen content. Google can determine duplicate content, but cannot say anything about the permission to use. I hate scrappers, but I have to warn you, when Google starts to kill spammers many of innocent will die.
Sounds good. Hopefully this will cut down on spam and content scrapers. I just hope the algorithm correctly determines where the content originally came from. It'll be interesting to see how the change affects my websites.
Scrapping sites use soft (like plagins for WP, for example) to make content unique, and it is not really difficult to do. And as for impact of this G's algo - not for sure they will remove scrappers from index. More probably they will prevent such sites to be ranked high.
Google is getting better and better at distinguishing spammer sites. Duplicate content will only be one of many different criterion used to determine a change. Many important news sites have duplicate content and will likely remain unaffected. spammers have more than one thing that distinguishes them as such.
Most MFA sites I've seen have really glossy professional looking wordpress themes on them, the maximum number of ads possible, and content that has poor grammar, overly floral prose, and is generally painful to read.
Strikes me that not much changes - still a place in the world for those who write decent content for decent websites?
It's about time really. Auto blogs & content scrapers have got to go. There are still those of us who actually give a damn about our sites & actually do real work on them.
You know what? It would be true what you wrote if at first selling/buying links would stop. But it is still on the SEO-market and is much more "evil" than autoblogs or articles directories.
with that i don't thinks the major sites ranking affected. but like auto content or articles sites should get some issue with this.
