As long as people use google for Internet search, it is heard to make them bend to our demands. The only best way is to help live and yahoo generate lot of traffic and search results.
Agreed. Moreover, Adsense Ads are not there to increase PR artifically. They are just to get traffic.
Come on people, I think some of you are forgetting why we do this fulltime internet stuff. It is so that we can earn money and also don't have to be told by a boss what to do. Why is Google trying to act as our boss and trying to make us do what they want us to do. If we don't follow their Webmaster Guidelines then we are not in google, that's fair I must admit. But now we also can't sell advertising on our site just so that they can have more of a revenue share. Put it this way, if people buy advertising on our sites then why would they want to or need to by it from Google Adwords.
Build links naturally without paying for them. Thats what I do and its a hell of a lot cheaper than renting links by the month like some clients of mine do.
Exactly, they want a cut out of brokering an ad sell on your site. If the website owners directly sell their ads, google doesnot get paid, and that is what makes them mad. Screw the shite like "search relevancy", they just want to shore up their bottom lines.
Nothing Comes free ., Of course you will get links if you have good content., (linkable content)., that wont help in the case of an ecommerce site.,
Ecommerce sites if they are good enough will get links naturally I don't mind linking to ecost for example or to amazon
To focus our SEO to YAHOO, MSN, and the others, and then to stop integrating our sites with Google APPs. Then we need to start saying "search for it" rather then "Google it". I can understand that google wants me to have the best results when I search for something, and I give that 100% approval, but now I fear if I like yoursite on a personal level and link to it from my blog that I will be penalized and so will your site. This move on their part is certainly moving passed thwarting 'fake' blog links and is now infringing on illegitimate links. On my personal page I used to have a footer link to a few of my friends pages. Thier pages have since shut down, but now, with this anti-paid link issue, those links would have been considered "paid". I have an integrated Google map on my Forums, this will stay as my members like it...but as many of my other apps are not all that popular, I'll start looking for alternatives. Complaints do nothing, it's action or nothing! Q
Google has just recently established here in my country>>>Philippines and that is one way to show that this is a new venue for us webmasters here in the Philippines. They're growing!!! Yes!!!
The sheer arrogance of Google Inc knows no bounds. They hate SEO because it threatens their ad revenue, and they've been trying to put the squeeze on SEO activities for a while now. Recent examples include local search, and personalised search. PPC is taking up more and more screen real estate. Whatever happened to Google is unique becuase its uncluttered from advertising, etc ??? Isn't that what made it so popular, so quickly? Now its paid links in the firing line (although they've been bleating about that for a few years). The spin from Mr Cutts should never be taken too seriously anyway (remind me who pays his salary), but this latest appeal is just pathetic. It's obvious that their automatic detection methods for paid links just doesn't work well enough, and never will. So now they're waving the white flag and trying to dupe the webmasters and public at large into helping them (a) improve their SERPS or (b) line their pockets with more ad revenue I'll let you decide which one is more likely
Yahoo directory is nothing but paid link directory. How does Google plan on handling those links? Seems like a slippery slope to me...
Yahoo is number two for SE's if I'm not mistaken, hurting them would certainly not be a bother. Not for Google. Heck, hurting Yahoo is likely on MSN's to-do list as well.
Yahoo directory, BOTW, sites that where around even before Google was even born, now Google wants to kill their business model.... It not just the small time webmasters that are upset either I'm sure.
a comment from digg Google didn't control internet. They are a company, and a company main aim is to earn money. Tell me what's wrong about it. On the other hand we are all guilty cause the whitest SEO is still someone who is gaming the system
I think google should introduce another attribute to anchor tag <a href="http://domain.com/" rel="ididnottakemoneyforthislink">domain </a>
