you all do realize it is just in the Beta stage atm so if you go to google.com right now and search it is still the old search engine.
pretty much the same serps for my niche, though of course there are differences and fluctuations as they say.... thanks for the heads up never checked out the sandbox url before...
The only big change I can see on http://www2.sandbox.google.com is the faster speed, however they aren't serving ads and this may be why.
I'm noticing significant changes (for the better) in my KW serp, particularly "Sacramento Weddings" (moved up to #3 from #6 previous ranking on page one). Still #1 & #2 for "Sacramento DJs" and there are small increases in "Sacramento Wedding DJs" (singular and plural). IMO, the best increase was for "Weddings in Sacramento" (previously #11 or #12, page two) - NOW at page one, #4 or #5. Overall, I give high marks to "Caffeine" --- hooray for Google!!!
I am seeing some changes at the beta tester. Looks like they are looking more to keywords + development.
^ I don't think the update affect the pagerank of websites , and considering much of the site I have gained or dropped in the sandbox.google.com I can say only that it's SERPs is more under the influenced of high traffic and social network than the old SERPs.
The sandbox is closed for maintanance. I wonder if that means there will be more changes made. Gonna check this out in a couple of hours.
It does state "We are upgrading elements of our data center" - so yes, changes are continuing like they said they would.
check this link straight from google's blog. http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2009/08/help-test-some-next-generation.html
i c the word being used pretty often here so i actually decided to look up. updation seems to be a word in the dictionary of indian english
yah...but i disagree with Korr...there is NO WAY that affiliate sites will rank higher - they could stay the same, or they could sink, but there is no way they will climb
What the hell is Google updating? It's not like any new development has occurred to warrant all this policing they do
I think Cutts' blog may seem a bit vague about Caffeine because the update got revealed on Monday and still needs some time to fully understand it. Also, Google didn't fully release the new infrastructure. As others mentioned, it's in beta. I did notice a lot of changes the past couple of weeks before the Monday rollout. However, I checked on a few keywords, and their rankings seem to be similar as before the significant changes. I want to wait another month or so before I start making any definite decisions on changing strategies.
