    Hi all,

Could somebody please explain how to match a keyword to an ad?

I've created 1 ad group and 3 ads, now i'm looking to match each keyword to one of my ads,

Thanks in advance and apologies about the SEM 101 question,

    Cheers,

    Bon

I'm not sure I entirely understand your question, but if you mean what I think, what you need to do is divide your keyword list into small adgroups, so that each adgroup has the ad text you want for the keywords in that particular group.

Also look up "Dynamic Keyword Insertion" - search the forum for some good explanations.

You can't match specific ads to specific keywords within the same ad group. If want a certain ad to show for a certain keyword put it in it's own ad group.

Guy from Chicago has it right, you'll need to create *themed* adgroups as per your copy/text.

    i.e.
adgrp 1 = apple keywords + apple text
adgrp 2 = banana KWs and banana text

There is no way of matching apple and banana KWs within one adgroup to their relevant text. You must create one adgrp per theme.
