    these dofollow blog search engines are awesome but ive been noticing that a lot of the blogs in the results are not dofollow... they must have switched back to nofollow after being added to the directories

    another thing I thought about, is that the more people on forums like this promote these ideas, google will not like it and they will spend more time making it so links like that on blog comments will not have any value at all, even if they are dofollow

    When commenting on a legit do-follow blog, is it ok to just post a regular comment without trying to somehow spam your own link? What I mean is, your getting a free backlink anyways as the "name" of the comment is also a link to your site...am I wrong??

    not sure if I understand what you are saying exactly, but I think you mean are you supposed to put a link in your comment too, and the answer is NO... if you do that, there is probably a 99% chance your comment will be deleted or never be approved. the link in your "name" is basically all that is expected (and be careful of not using a name there, because if you put keywords or something like that instead, many blog owners will delete your comment as being spammy too, some don't but alot do)
