Hello.. As someone just reported it seems google has done something as there has been a large increase in indexed pages on most sites... Thread where it was discovered http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1571053 Just 1 site of ours maxed at 2200 indexed pages then slowly dipped to 1500 earlier today and now after viewing the same site 4 hours later its at 10,600 indexed pages.... The same also for many directories we own which where in the hundreds are all now in the 5000+ Could this be the start of Caffeine we are seeing? Your thoughts as to why? thx Malcolm1
Browse through this thread.. Even MC finally stopped in after a year off the other day.. I fully believe Caffeine is implemented no matter what Matt sais. I think they are just not releasing the data sets. There is alot of information here that make sense to me.. http://www.webmasterworld.com/google/3985342.htm
Oh yeah and more info here. Forgot to mention this thread http://www.webmasterworld.com/google/4017090-4-10.htm
Yesterday if I did site:mydomain.com in google I got the normal expected result I am used to seeing. Today it's about 3 times as many indexed as normal. I'll have to keep a watch on this over the next several days and see if it stays or returns to what I am used to seeing.
Hello... Just checked and all sites are now back to where they where earlier... seems somebody is testing stuff under da hood lol laterzz M1
Think you are right, back to where they originally were just now. Think someone is messing with something.
I am seeing this again today, Google indexed 20,000 more pages overnight.. I would say they are really ramping up for caffeine.
