no change for me here.... although i wldn't be surprised due to the seemingly never-ending wait for the next update. But we can possibly deduce 2 things abt submitters now: either they know nothing abt PR-update and SEO or they are serious webmasters who do not let the PR-update affect their continued marketing efforts. I generally have a better impression of those who are continuing to submit now, just a gut feel....
It's probably the PR update, and that it's summer, and people are out on the beaches having fun, not working
its usually like this because of the page rank update, business will boom once this page rank update is completed.
I see a small slow down even though I have added more listings seeking submissions. I just figured it is due to school is getting ready to start again. Many go on vacations just before.
You probably won't see a big influx of submissions because you got PR finally. Promotions matter more than PageRank.
Bloglisting.net normally gets 20-30 submissions daily, slightly less on the weekends. Haven't seen a drop/
I'm getting submissions normally this month. PR update is not affecting for my sales. But I've stopped buying links for my sites
No coincidence and if anybody is telling u different, I think they are holding something back. We get more submissions usually then we can make business cards for, since aug-09, its dropped. Wait like 2 weeks,(after labor day) they will go back up.
Thanks! My directory is going through its fifth August and four of those have have had sales so it's easy for me to track trends.
At least for me the PR update or holidays not having influence on submissions, today I had a record number of submissions all from different submitters.
submissions massively reduced for my paid directories and free directories..... Hopefully submissions will pick up soon.....
Who's going to openly admit to the fact there is a drop in submissions. @anon; do you refund your 'rejections' as I couldn't see a policy there? @jl255; You said, What do you know about the PR update that other webmasters don't? Maybe they just fall into your second part which I agree with. with, that webmasters are learning that PR is a load of BS and have stopped chasing it so much. For what its worth the level of submissions for my sites are up but I dont play on PR or newsfeeds like some.
