uh..kinda first it was 25,000+ then it's 16,300 then its 14,100 OH NO then its 13,500 OMG Then it went back to up 14,300 WOOHOO now its 15,700 YAY so yea i guess i am in there but in order for them to reinclude everything, i need to hit that 25,000 again
Oops Google ran out of space, had to delete ya. No really hang on, all of their services have been a little goofy lately I expect them to straighten it out eventually.
The resubmit button where google looks at your site. The underlying question is "How come your serp is the same when everyone elses is down a 50?"
if ur talking about google.com/addurl then i didnt do that and answer to your second one - i paid dearly with the PR dropping from 3 to 0 and not everyone's serps have dropped you know - mine did drop but 1-2 - i guess google likes me more than you
I worked out with a few other DP users, that all the sites that we new were de-indexed all purchased a link from a particular polish site from DP..... We realised that the link ad killed us Has anyone that had there site deindexed brought a link from .pl site on DP?
mine was de-indexed - primary reason for opening this thread nearly 10 days ago lol, but i havent bought any links in the past 3 months or so especially from any polish sites
njoker, I think two things have got muddled in this thread - sites like your own that lost lots of pages from the index, and sites that got completely deindexed. I'm not sure the two are related or have the same cause.
What makes you think there's a time limit on when you bought the links? Surely, the critical factor is whether the purchased links are still active.
Ahha. I was offered a link but I never bought it. About two weeks ago. A polish site And the link was not for the site that got deindexed anyway! It was for a Polish jobs board! Methinks it was a trap The guy even had google in his DP name but nice he was not. What is happening here people. ending in ielski.info ??? Is this the same as you? If so we have a case here.
yea but usually when i buy links im buying banner spots and those are rarely direct backlinks since about 80% of the ones i bought use some sort of rotator - if i remember correctly i only bought one link spot from a friend - the other backlinks i have are just hard work from directories, forums, blogs, etc.. and just others linking to my site because they like it i'd rather spend money on CPC such as adwords and ysm than buy links on other sites that rarely give me visitors - i dont really remember where i bought those banners or that link anyway lol, so i dont know if they are still active
Question! Simple explaination Did a mad Polish website owner press the "report paid links" button to google That is a very simple explaination of the -50 which I hate to say does not seem to be affecting anyone else. Was a proffessor according to whois if my memory is correct (or claimed to be) That would explain why it affected me, who never bought any and those who did as well.
What exacyly would happen if I went to my google account and reported a competitor as paid links? Has anyone experienced this which would put my previous post into perspective
I have never reported paid links in Google, I also would be interested to see if it has any affect. As far as I understand the info is used to adjust there algo to automatically try and minimise the benefit of paid links. Its like the book 1984, Google is big brother. I can think of people in history that google reminds me of but I wont mention.
I got the -50 alright.....but I dont get how. Even if I did buy a link on a polish site....SO WHAT ! So if I never ran into the mad polish professor but my competitor did, all he has to do is buy one link pointing to my site and boom I get -50 . It just doesnt make sense to me, I am sure the guys at google have thought of this as well and we are not the first ones. I read this old article by Aaron Wall from 2005 and it might have some clues as to why we might have gotten penalized. http://www.search-marketing.info/newsletter/articles/seo-vacuum.htm I think his site was filtered / penalized and not showing up for its own company name, just like our sites now. and it has some good advice for the future.
