I have lost all listings also. I did notice a competitor the other day did drop of listings and since they have come back stronger. I can only hope this will be the case for all that have worked so hard to get good rankings on google. May this be a some hope to hold on too.
i have heard the same thing as well....the sites come back stronger after being deindexed, but i also say to myself if that is true why did we get deindexed in the first place?
Build multiple sites. Expect this. Run a business. Isolate IP clusters. Do what you do to unwind, but sleep and start again. Life is never easy, but this is always another door. I have had an expensive week. I could buy about half a 911 for this, but if it was easy, then we would all be doing this. See life from a distance. It is a G in my humble opinion. Their Achilles Heel is their stock as thy have borrowed too much. It is linked to multiple anchor links, similar to paid links, but this was not meant to happen. Buy G Stock, but moan like F and I don't mean Froogle 100 D Point members with $1000 dollars of stock each could run Google Think about that.
I lost all 500k indexed pages a few times before. I just checked and the last time was April of this year and before that end of 2005. Always has popped back in 3-4 days and I hope this is again the case. If not at least I am still listed in their directory.
Did some research with one of the posters and found something interesting. There is a site surffreedomDOTcom that has some kind of proxy going on and Google has indexed sites that seems to be hi-jacked. Do a search for: surffreedom insurance for example and you'll see what I am talking about. I don't know if there is a connection or not, but it sure is intriguing..... Google has had problems before with sites like this and it seems that the problem has come back.
google is acting very bad for us webmasters lately, first the screw up with the PR algo and the updates and now de-indexing of sites for no reason - it seems to me that no sites have been getting a lot of pages re-indexed - i have been keeping my eye out on about a dozen sites including my own since i noticed this a few days ago
I really really hope this just temporary, my 10 year old site that was ranking decent for 9 years and well this year, disappeared yesterday This has been a big shock to me and that is an understatement. I had recently been upgraded to PR4 in october and was very happy. It is my main income source and if this ever gets fixed, I will make sure I have my eggs in more than 1 basket. A change in google should not have such a big affect on a persons life, their 1 little change messes my whole life up. And what a perfect timing, just before Xmas and right before the busiest week of the year
So for those of you who have been de-indexed are Google still crawling the site as usual or is the G-bot gone? I have a site that has been de-indexed almost completely but we are still crawled at normal rate (which is pretty high). Our domain still seems to be sending link juice to others and the home page has the rankings intact but thats about it.
I lost around 2,00,000 indexed pages in one week. Traffic down to 1/10th and adsense earnings by 1/20th. I think I'll need to take my sites offline as adsense if it goes like this won't even pay for the server. Something is definitely happening.
g-bot crawled my site on the 10th and the 11th, and i got deindexed on the night of the 9th i havent seen it visit my site today yet...
Well something is up even google.com has less pages indexed now than before they went down from 2,090,000 to 88,100
Yesterday all the datacenters showed no cached pages for two of my sites. Today two data centers show results. One shows 8 pages and one shows 6. All the pages indexed were created 2 days after I was deindexed so they are new for sure. During the past three days while deindexed I still saw spiders. As I said in another thread this has happened twice in the last three years. My theory in the past has been if you create a new site and a lot of the old data is no longer there and 301 redirected, google just dumps the entire site and starts from scratch. The last two times this happened it happened right after a major overhaul. Maybe now google is just cleaning house and doing a floating across the board reindex. So its more of a reindex than a deindex.
Update for those who are worried. Most datacenters show 0 cached pages still: site:http://volvospeed.com But now 4 datacenters show the following. In the last 8 hours pages are starting to pop back.
