Massive Base Weight Drop?

    Ok, I just validated my coop weight, and my weight dropped from 70k to 14. My site has gained over 1000 pages. Why did my weight go down?

    Same here. I think what's going on is the "Duplicate Content" filters are seriously screwed down. I just read this thread, followed the directions regarding g-metrics and was suprised by the page count results.

    Weird, my site dropped to 17,000 from 65,000. Google API shows 6500 pages in URL (up from ~1700) and google itself (site:mydomain.com) shows about 12,000 pages in URL (about 5000 more than I want, but robots.txt sucks LOL).

    I'm not sure why at all. I understand why my other site dropped (pages too similar, dropped by google cuz of dupe content - fine - site is just for me anyways), but this one I don't get at all.

    Yeah, I don't do anything grey/black on mine either (I'm too anal to worry about consequences). Mayhaps weight has been recalculated for lower numbers due to the number of new sites joining?

    No, the problem I have is page counts dropping for my sites...

    For example... seo-dev.co.uk now only has 4 pages listed using the API...

    I've made a couple of changes that could help, but I doubt it...

    Mine dropped from 1900+ to 600, and slowly increased back (about 200 a day) i don't know what's going on.

    I'm down from 50k to 10k and 70k to 10k. I hope Google realises soon that it took out way more than the odd bit of duplicate content.

    I'm scared to revalidate my sites now...

    From 12k to 2k on one of my sites.. :(
    I haven't dared to push the revalidate button on my largest site yet, but I see that my referals weight jumps up and down every day there..
    from 6,7k to 1k and up again almost every second day for 2-3 of them...

    Had a significant drop in pages indexed by Google, primarily I think to the dup content filters. Therefore my co-op weight has also taken a hit, but it is creeping back up again now.

    Google Api results have dropped in last week on the sites I check there, I think this happens when they are recalculating for an update.

    One site went from 21800 pages to 427 weight dropped accordingly from 54000 to 12000.

    This also happened just before the last update but not for this long.
    Hopefully they are sorting the 302 hijack problem and it is just that their servers are groaning :confused:

    My weight history since the recent changes:
    57K->12K->39K->32K
    indexed pages a little over a 1K now using API; Google was showing 10K->3K->6K->3K
    rankings are the same for the main keyphrases and traffic is growing - hope it stays that way.
