    Good Morning,
One of my best friends has built this from scratch. It has taken him and his team a little over 2 years. His competition ( habbo hotel dot com) reported earnings of over 5 mill. last year.

They ran out of funds, so no advertising has been done. Since he owes a lot of money to his family, honestly, I am just testing the waters to see what this might be worth. I have no idea what something like this might be worth and hope to get some help from you guys.

Please keep in mind that this site is 1,000% unique, has tons of features and it is built from scratch.

Thank You for your time and do have a great day.

    My guess: Probably nothing.

If it were earning money you'd have told us. So, it's probably earning nothing.

If it's not earning does it have some other fantastic quality? PR8 perhaps? Or 50 listings in DMOZ? No.

It's unlikely that anybody will want to pay you for it.

Could it ever make money? Sure. Throw enough investment, time, ideas and work into it and even a brand new site will make money.

Oh, wait, this is about where people expand on how fantastic all the dev work is. And how much it costed. It's still worth almost zilch, here's why: If after all that work if the site is not making money then the webmaster is effectively bailing.

And even if his story about selling because he needs money is true... there are a million such stories around - only idiots believe them.

My call? He's selling because he knows it's a turkey. $0. Sorry.

    Hi,
I only put this up 5 minutes ago and already have 5 PM's.

Like I said, this is not my site, I have no access to any details. They used to get around 5-600 uniques a day ( when the site was launched) and were making somewhere around $500 a month. I have seen proof myself. Since no advertising, no traffic and no $

Foggy, Thank You for your prompt and honest response, BUT:
I know that if I want to invest money in something ( a site, an idea, goods), I am going to look into it: wheather there is a market for it, wheather it is unique and not a ebay copy, rate of return, and list goes on.
In all, I want to make sure that the product or idea I am going to put money, time and effort into IS WORTH IT.

My question to you guys: Is this worth anything?

    Thank You again.

I think the first thing you should do is have your friend disable the pop up, and the script that tells me if I want to visit his site to disable my pop up blocker.

    Not going to happen!

With that kind of BS going on the value is 0

If you have got a serious BIN, please PM me with all details.

Also, will the dev team still support for this?

Although I think the way Sem-Advance is saying it is a bit crude I have to agree with it.

The first thing I saw before anything else was an error message about the popup blocker. Although the site looks great I did not even bother turning off my popup blocker and trying your site out. I do think this is a major flaw in the site... :(

But still nice site and good luck! :)

I don't think it is crude...

Honest straight forward and to the point, is where it came from.

Often at times written communication makes it hard to judge ones demeanor, intentions, and emotions, so this leaves things to varied points of view.

    Peace!
