    Correct. Authority is predominantly manipulated by linkbacks to your blog. Not sure if it is linkbacks from Technorati reg'd blogs or all blogs. Either way, big spikes in fans or authority will certainly raise flags and a ban would most likely follow.

    Authority is the number of links back from other blog posts. It does not include blogroll but does include blogs not registered with Technorati.

    The service offered in this thread is to add Technorati favorites which is like adding myspace friends. It has no effect on authority.

    It looks like you can get nofollow backlinks from user pages like this though:
    http://technorati.com/faves/ihowd500?show=blogs

    Alright, then. I think I had better close this service until I learn a little more about Technorati. I do not really think that it is fair on buyers to have to suffer the consequences of my failure. Best regards until next time. :)

    Edit: The public has voted... I just received 2 orders. I assume this means that the service should stay open and alive. Again, let me state, it is up to you to wear the consequences if anything happens. This is just a small project, on my behalf. :)

    I think u can do this job in this way...... use different ids with different names and do that gradually... i think its safe then......

    The reason why I am not too fussed about the usernames is a) it takes longer to create accounts with completely different info b) I have not heard of any complaints about getting banned from Technorati -- they sound about as slack as del.icio.us.

    I am up to 4 orders now. :)

    i did a little more resaerch as well. Although you wont get authority for this, you can get on the front page with by having alot of fans.
    I would personally split this up to like 50 a day tho. Is it possible for someone to get even a couple hundred fans per day normally?

    That's sprouting a bit of a smirk. However, I am unable to do 50 per day, as I would eventually lose track and would likely miss parts of orders etc.

    All submissions up until now have been completed.
