Mass phising email to Indian paypal users about new RBI rule....

I have not got any emails abou it too , I think someone is playing tricks with indian users and making fun of our problem

 

i dont want my paypal to go into negative balance by withdrawing all my money. Atleast i want to hold some money to prevent against disputes and chargebacks.

 

Yep, it's a spoof mail. I don't know how they got our first and last names, though.

 

Yeah its strange how they know our real names , makes me think if this is still in development , and sending those mails was a mistake by paypal , so waiting for some updates from paypal on this issue.

The bad news is that this email is genuine. After reading all of your comments, I sent another email to paypal for clarification and they said that indeed this was a genuine email.
Sooooooooooooo bad news for indians. I am applying for a PAN now, and in the meanwhile can I withdraw money to my bank account without PAN details?

 

withdrawal was working before 1 april , not heard after tht if its working or not.

 

Well I yet to recevie any mail from PayPal, I should get it if it really genuine one. Also second thing people are crying on 30 days withdrawal option if we trust on this mail, then what's your problem with it? We can easily make withdrawal every 15 days it's not big deal!

Second thing which I want to say why people always attack on RBI. Do anyone have full detail on this issue? Without knowing everyone attacking on RBI and making some silly posts. Do wait till we have clear information without blaming someone and taking too much pressure.

Just relax we are spending money without any problems, I already doing it for last 3 days!

 

Yes read somewhere that 9th April withdrawal request completed now! So all those pending will be tag completed soon.

 

May be weekend off doesn't show completed.

I have got this email too , I am bit worried about it its really sad that paypal is going to cut the hands of indian users

 

Well I am not doubting but just the check 2 things :
1.) people who are saying "I HAVE RECEIVED THIS EMAIL" check their number of posts and itraders
2.) people who are saying "I HAVEN'T RECEIVED orYET TO RECEIVE" check their number of posts and itraders , specially, Rohit patel, deluxdon, Bohra etc etc

Again as usual I try to open my brain in all directions, I am guessing some ANTI-PAYPAL Activities from competitors to get indian pp users divert to some other processors
Again its a Wild guess

The reason to support my guess :
I initiated a withdrawal on 5th April and I got email you will receive money in 7days and Guess what money was received in Axis bank in 2days

So guys check if its genuine ..........
Also guys like me who have initiated request and have received money please share your experience so that others like us dont panic
By the way "I HAVEN'T RECEIVED ANY SUCH EMAIL"

You are thinking too Much.Regarding promoting some alternate everyone will be happy if such a thing is available.
we badly need an alternate.

Read other posts ,you will notice people have not receive any money from 7th and 8th withdraws.


I have 3 paypal accounts (all legal ,3-4 years old 1 personal and 2 business ) I receive email on 2 accounts and Did not receive on 1 account.

 

well,though I have not yet received a mail, yet i trust the DP community. There can be one person with an agenda, not these many and they are all themselves peeved with the issue, so let's not doubt the integrity of these members. Withdrawals before 6th-7th Apriil were going thru fine and I too received my money, but my withdrawal of 8th is stuck at "Pending"

 

Well Yes I think too much , Have you tried withdrawal first on your own
If people are stuck then they will write, when aren't stuck , not many ppl come back write here , we got the payment

I am pretty sure that atleast senior memebers would come back and wrrite here when they receive payments

By the way I checked you have 0 itraders so its clear from DP community you aren't earning much. so your source for income to paypal is some other form other then DP. I am not pointing anything here but as you said I am thinking too much

Guys understand I am not pointing to integrity but if the mail would have been a genuine then why all of us didnt receive it , that is the question
And then until paypal doesn't confirm officially we must not speculate it
by speculating we are causing damage to everyone, people will panic and rush to withdraw and this in turn unnecessarily will burden paypal with Withdrawal queue

and yes I have 2 withdrwals still in Pending from 7th and 8th and I did 1 more yesterday to test and it status got completed in about 26 hours.
