Hey guys, I run www.racingprofits.net and have been building a nice opt in list of subscribers via aweber. I recently approached the owner of a betting site to JV his list and cross promote - anyway I ended up buying his site and 100,000 email list. Quite simply I need ideas of how to approach the list without spamming the people on it - I would like to ask them to opt in to my list by visiting my squeeze page, so giving them the option. Is there a legit way of doing this ? Also - how do you go about emailing such a huge list ? I bought Sendblaster Pro 2 - desktop mass email software which appears to do what I want - but Hostgator specifically ban you from mass emailing through their server - so what is the answer ?? Do you have the opt-in information (like date, time, IP address, etc)? If so, iContact will let you add them to a mailing list and mail them (this is the best way to get high deliverability) You won't be able to import them into AWeber without getting them to opt-in again. You could email them and get them to opt-in to your list by offering a bribe (a report, tips, etc) but you will get a low opt-in rate no matter HOW good the bribe is! It's just a way of life I would recommend importing them into iContact if you can and emailing them over a period of time to try to move them over to your AWeber list. If you haven't got the opt-in data then you can use a system on your own server. I've used Interspire Email Marketer in the past. Let me know if you want any more help
There are two ways 1. Legit - You have created an opt-in for visitor to make subscription to receive your email. You can use online service such ash Aweber, iContact to do this job for you. You can also use your own email software to send it yourself but you should ask hosting for auhtorization first. 2. Illegal - You have got email addreses by some software scraper. This is a so called "Spam Email" since the recipient never had subscribed to receive your email. None of online service could provide you since you did not get those adresses in legit way. If you are going to use your own software to send them youself, then your account is likely to be banned because the hosting will be reported as "Spam Activity" or "Abused".
You could try the following : www.maxmailhq.com Big fan of their service... They allow you to import without needing a confirmation (like aweber) - that being said, like everything you cannot use a list if you have brought it or anything like that, which I see is not the case (?) Anyways, hope it helps.
