Mass email

    I don't know if everyone has this problem or not. I have loads of forums and the webhost I am with has limited sending email to 200/day and now I cannot figure out a way to make sure the all the members on my forums receive a newsletter. Is there any other service that I can use to send out newsletters

    Majority of the forum hosts limit number emails that can be sent out per hour/day to ensure it doesn't causes excessive load on the system. Best bet is to get a VPS to host your forum and then you can send as many emails as you want else you can go for other emails services which specialize in sending emails out but will charge you on a per email basis.

    If you are using vb, you can make it use a pop3 account outside your hosting company for mailings. It is in vb admin cp/mailing options

    I am currently using SMF. Can this be done without switching to a dedicated server

    You can use a SMTP account in phpbb3.

    Or find a host that doesn't limit the amount of emails per hour, or some hosts charge a little extra to use an unlimited email service.

    Find a few hosts and open a ticket and ask them.
