Mass Email Software

I have a list of people who have subscribed to content on my website. I was wondering, does anyone have a good program or way to send out mass emails? I found send blaster, but noticed that the price as not in $, so that makes me weary of trying to deal with their service if they do not support US customers.

I use Sendblaster myself and don't have any problem with them eventhough I'm from another country.

Subscribing for your content is not the same as subscribing to get emails from you.

Get software such as www.Aweber.com, and have them opt in to receive EMAILS. Otherwise, you might get your butt kicked by CAN-SPAM in the long run.

    Wait, through what?

If they opted in to receiving emails, and you have the lists, once again, use Aweber or iContact, sign up with them, and import your list.

If you want an independent mass mailer, this kind of software ain't cheap.

And if you try to mail a thousand people from your IP in a day, your ISP will block you.

They opted into the list by an HTML form. I wrote a php script that took the email users gave me in the form and put it into a MySQL data base. I'll check around for some independent mass mailers. Hopefully I can find one that isn't too expensive. It seems like the prices I'm seeing range from $100- $200

Aweber is 20 bucks a month. You've got a 10 months budget right there :)

Once again, the biggest concern I have for you is that your ISP will block you for mass mailing.

Your emails will be considered spam unless the addresses were collected using a Confirmed Opt-In system. If yours weren't then you should conduct a Permission Pass to clean up your list before you send any emails. If you can't prove you have a confirmed opt-in list your server IP will probably end up on blacklists and everyone on your server will have problems sending email.

I use Aweber and am very happy with it. For a hosted solution, I use Interspire

    hi,

From the looks of it you have Linux hosting. I think this is http://www.phplist.com/ what your looking for. Send the messages directly from your hosting server.

PHPlist is a open source bulk email script written in php.

    It's my secret weapon :D

This won't work with my hosting because of a sending limit, but thanks for the suggestion

Hosting company will limit the capacity because you have to use their smtp server...
