Amazingly, I hadn't heard much about Frank Kern's until this last week. Now a lot of Internet Marketing guru's are hyping his stuff with affiliate links. What do you guys think? Did anyone here buy into Mass Control 1.0? I'm still really skeptical even though I watched his seminar videos and thought they were really good. It seemed everyone at his seminars were not making money though when they would talk. What's your opinion?
I Followed Mass Control 1.0 with a keen eye, took notes, watched videos (but didn't buy). I don't know if it's hype or not, but I do hink Frank is exceptional talent. I used some of the stuff I learned from the free videos, etc. (among other sources) and turned it into my own mini-launch (did pretty well ). I think the stuff is good, but of course comes with a cost... I find Frank's style hypnotic, and he has done good job creating this 'image' of "surfer millionaire marketer". In my list he is in the Top marketing 'non-guru gurus'.
Oh yeah, i've been watching his videos. I think what he is recommending is good stuff. He already changed the way I think about some things from a marketing perspective. However, I'm still not absolutely convinced it is worth the huge bucks he is requesting. I probably won't buy it regardless, but I just wanted to know what others thought who weren't an affiliate for him.
His concepts are pretty insightful and spot on as far as marketing goes. Just the stuff he gives away for free has given me tremendous insights and epiphanies. So I can imagine the value he is giving out in exchange for a couple thousand bucks is pretty outstanding. But if you don't have an existing business and don't have the money for it, obviously it'd be a waste. If he keeps up with it for the next few years, which I'm sure he will, I'll definitely purchase someday.
I work in Norman! Cool to see someone closeby that uses the forums. I might purchase his stuff at some point too, but i'm not totally convinced I really need it. Thanks for your honest opinion though!
Not a problem The way I see it, if you don't plan on building a list and launching a product or promoting affiliate offers via email, you probably don't need Mass Control.
It's good but I find it hard to believe it works outside of IM or forex niches. I tried it with a narrower niche and there is not the same kind of "community" of buyers who are feeding on your crumbs and anticipating your launch. I mean think about it, are there a ton of women who rub their hands with glee when they hear about the next yeast infection product coming out? lol!
A "couple thousand bucks"? Shoot! Walk into any business book store and spend $200 and you will get ten times the information on sales and marketing. Look at Tony Robbins. He got rich quick by telling suckers how to get rich quick. Did he ever make money in "the real world"? No. Frank Kern's videos seem to be about how he made millions by convincing the last bunch of saps to send him "a couple thousand bucks"
There is nothing new other the sun. When it comes to marketing online, all these gurus like Frank Kern always used hypnotic tactic to make marketing sound so new to everyone else. Frankly, he is an outstanding and accurate thinker but I don't think there is nothing new about marketing as Frank is presenting. As everyone may have know, if you buy any course without taking action it, the course will automatically become worthless. According to all the stuff Frank has ever produce, it simply comes down to about taking action on what you may have already.
Does it work? Yes Do I expect you to believe me? No Do I live just about the chillest socal surfers dream thanks to Frank? You betcha! Anyone serious about making ridiculous coin might wanna give it a decent gander. And, yes it works beyond IM and Forex. I yoked a nice yearly salary in about 6 hours on a promo in a niche totally away from IM and have seen countless others do the same. But hey, I'm in the front row, in the trenches where the stuff happens. I understand the skepticism. But I also understand the reality because I live it each and every day. Frank's stuff is straight up gangster! Peep my blog if you want some help implementing it. Cheers J-Mo
Riiiiiight. Do you have a beach house, too? Let me guess...from the look of that entry on this guy in your blog, you're an affiliate? Well, then, I'm sold! Let me rush for my checkbook!
Anyone remember that Austin Powers scene where Christian Slater gets sent out 'for some orange sherbert...' Ah, the power of the brain pan....
Heh, Jason is obviously AFFILIATE so it might be bit biased... (not that I'd be accusing or anything ) but I think it boils down to this: - you can get some good marketing stuff with little investment (buy book by Jay Abrahams for example) - Frank's stuff is good, and if you could have time & plans to start using it - then why not take the opportunity? I like Frank's approach and while it might be mainly based on "established common ground" in marketing I think Frank has unique touch that he gives. And to me it sounds good. (And if you plan to use it, then why not use Jason's affiliate link - he is a guy who bothered answering here so you might as well use his link )
Thanks for the common sense rational response. And yes, of course I'm an affiliate. And I also agree you can get a killer education with cheap book like Jay's. I always tell people, just go get all of Dan Kennedy's stuff on Amazon and that alone is enough to make you millions if you actually get off your butt and implement it. Anyhow, being an affiliate for Frank is great! Allows me to live a lifestyle that most of us are in search of. Peace
Now how did we know he had a beach house.... Careful with your money, folks. But, if you are dumb enough to fall for it, you deserve to lose your money.
Here is a recommended reading list of 3 books that provide everything you need to get started: Robert Collier Letter Book - Robert Collier Influence, Science and Practice - Robert B. Cialdini Yes! 50 Scientifically Proven Ways to Be Persuasive - Robert B. Cialdini Then save screen shots of the sales letters from these massive launches you hear about (including Kern's) and study them. Rewrite them -- every word, a couple times. This really is the secret to learning how to write persuasive sales letters that sell. So, for under $60 (under $40 if you buy used copies) you too can harness the secrets that Frank Kerns uses. It's like anything, if you spend the time to dig in and learn it yourself, you can get Frank Kerns type results. Until you actually learn it, and work on it yourself no course that spoon feeds you all the information for even $10,000 will take the place of actually implementing your own experiments. You don't have to be perfect out of the gate. You can have a horrible sales letter and tweak it through ongoing traffic experiments. The key is to put something out there to tweak! Influence, Science and Practice - Robert B. Cialdini I recommend that too, it's awesome book for like... $6 or whatnot? But...I disagree that you would get 'all that Frank has to offer'. None of these books are about creating videos and ... STUFF. So... I do agree they are worth reading & studying but I also think that there's always room to search for more.
