I have two conflicting advices re article submission.
I have recently purchased an article submitter which auto submitts to nearly 700 article directories. The advice is this will push your web page referred in resource to a high page level in google.

The othe advice I have is to restrain any new article i create to four main directories eg ezine.

They say that oversubmissiting to manyh sites dilutes the effect of the the article

Anyone have advice or experience in both ways of article submitting and which was best

it is best to manually submit article to article directories, the mass distribution will let search engine consider duplicate content.

Well,it would be better for you to use mass article directories. And you will see the effect in the future.Try that.

I submit half to ezine articles and the other half to the top 5 directories. I wouldn't trust mass submission. Too many dodgy directories out there.

I use them both and they work just fine.
When you mass submit articles you must of course first rewrite them with special rewriter and submit this article in the mass submitter so that it will not count as duplicate content. The mass submitter will make lots of different articles of your rewrited article.
Specific submission is always good to gain more traffic!

It's also better to manually submit everything, mainly because it allows you to maintain a higher level of quality rather than having a brainless machine perform the task for you.

I think you're better off focusing more relevant directories, unless you're able to spin out 700 or so articles.

Article submission is good.. But how will it be affected by the issue of duplicate content?

The mass distribution system i use enables the creation of 100 articles and then can submit each article to one site only of 100 sites. with the rewrite system I am careful to go over every article to get any mechanical mistakes out of them . In the initial rewrite I do a lot of the work initially before the system takes over and then i check each one. The other issue about mass creation from one article is that they all need the same keyword in the title so you ahve to be very creative in getting lots of titles which include the keyword.
