Masking or Redirecting Hoplink for clickbank?

I am new with clickbank, and have been reading about cloaking/masking/redirecting the hoplink, to make sure your sale does not get stolen and to make the URL look cleaner. I guess my question, is now that I have bought my .com and have a product to promote, is it best to redirect my domain to the hoplink vendors sales page, or to have my own landing page and then direct them to the vendors site? Also, if I do the redirect, does that make it so that they never visit my own domain, meaning I do not have to put content on it, as they are taken directly to the vendors site? Have a landing page and use a redirect in .htaccess is best for conversions IMO. Good luck.

 

i never get earning from cb, i dont know, i think many people dont want to buy from affilate link?
is it correct ?
that i do promo cb with my blog PR4. i was sure get more click but get no transaction selling.

 

You can make sales with CB if you have quality traffic. Just because you are getting hop clicks doesn't mean they are really interested in buying the ebook.

Add this line to your .htaccess file "Redirect /somefolder http://youraffiliateid.Vendorid.hop.clickbank.net"

"somefolder" is a virtual folder on the server, you don't need to create it.

So then you would link to http://www.yourdomain.com/somefolder instead of the aff link.

 

so doest the "somefolder" part need to actually say "somefolder" or do I name it whatever I want to?

 

That was just an example, you can name it whatever you want.

 

No amount of link cloaking will help if you are marketing IM or Make Money Clickbank products.
As soon as your prospect lands on the salespage and sees CLKBNK or the 'affiliates' link, they
will back out and buy with their own id.

However, if you are marketing info like recipes, cat training, how-to, financial advice, etc. then I recommend
a simple review page with email capture and a cloaked link.

BTW, there are great free plugins for self-hosted Wordpress for easy link cloaking and tracking; Clickbank plugins, too.

so far i never try with cloaking id, idont know how to add on index html.
i just do standart promotion add banner on my sidebar blog.but not result buying.

If your concern is about the actual "link" itself, and that it obviously looks like an affiliate link, you can always mask it with sites like tinyurl.com

if you're using a wordpress blog, bloggerhigh have free wordpress plugins that mask the links instantly. Edit - it's automatic, just install it and forget it.
