I would like to change from abc.com to cde.com without to redirect, is it posible? And the abc site to remain, but in the adress bar to see the cde.com. It is not a duplicate thread, it is something else than masking.
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <META HTTP-EQUIV="REFRESH" CONTENT="1;URL=http://cde.com"> <title> You'll be redirect in 1 sec. to CDE.</title> </head> <body> </body> </html> HTML: I don't think you can mask a url .
you could move your content from abc.com to cde.com and point the domain abc.com to cde.com's host and use .htaccess to modrewrite requests for abc.com to the appropriate files on cde.com and the user wouldn't know the difference. with modrewrite you could also specify a perminant move "301" so search engines will know the content has moved and will change to addres in there indexes. abc.com to cde.com Check out : http://www.google.com/support/webma...r=83105&cbid=1nlos8uo58g4i&src=cb&lev= answer
It's possible as long as you own both domains. In cPanel, just use "Parked domains" to park one over the other.
You can mask your URL in a way that the target page loads in an iframe. So if you own cde.com but want it to display abc.com in the address bar, then you would load abc.com in a 100% iframe. You can even configure that without messing with html in your domain registrars panel. F.e. in namecheap, the domain you want to mask has to use Namecheap's nameservers (so they must not point to hostgator or similar). Then select your cde.com domain, look on the left side menu for "URL forwarding", fill out the "@" and "www" fields with the domain you want to frame (let me guess: your affiliate link ) and under "Record type" choose the "URL frame" from the drop-down. Hope that helps!
If you don't own it, its impossible. Why do you want to forge the URL with something you don't own anyway? Seems fishy.
