Let's examine this claim: http://www.renewamerica.us/columns/levant/070531 (your link) This is her claim, not mine. This claim refers to this act: http://tucnak.fsv.cuni.cz/~calda/Doc...Bank_1933.html Again; this act directly touches the banking industry. It is not a general state of emergency establishing martial law. It's not difficult. She claims we are in a state of emergency. We are not. This particular act was a temporary enactment, superceded by this act: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1933_Banking_Act Which was dissolved in 1999. So, her primary assertion is wrong. And you claim that I'm not answering your claims? You do probably need a nap or something.
See now you are working with fire. But this link above that you keep linking is not working and never has so I have no idea what the relevance is. Superceeding an act does not resend a declaration of a state of emergency. Do you have any other links with better info (wikipedia is a good source for a quick read, but as a source......) See above I will concede the point if the act was actually rescinded. Will you concede the fact of the rest that when a SOE is declared ML is easily available to....lets say a less than scrupulous president?
Find the link earlier in the thread then. I've already given you relevance and how it throws this lady's whole point into absurdity. You're just being obtuse again. *sigh* Apparently the concept is just too simple for you to grasp. So you are now not talking about "martial law" nor the "groundwork to martial law", but have reduced to a "hypohetical person exercising an order that you don't even understand" . Sure I guess I can follow that.
What part of "this link does not work and never has" do you not understand. It didnt work before and it does not work now. http://tucnak.fsv.cuni.cz/~calda/Doc...Bank_1933.html /\/\/\That link is not working.........understand now? Yeah it is too simple....thats it. Not a very good argument..... Again as I said before I am not the author of this. I am willing to debate points if they are relevant.
I don't feel real threatened by this to be honest. That's why the right to own firearms is in place. At any given time, the total U.S. population could revolt and have a civil war or one large riot. Trust me, if Bush ever tried to declare himself dictator there would indeed be a war inside the country. Not sure what the libs would be doing during all this, perhaps hiding in their basements or maybe protesting the war on the government. We could always take them prisoner and have them do laundry and cook, like good little bitches.
I guess that kind of depends on where you go to get your hair cut. If it's the White House or the Pentagon then... yes, you probably will have to show your papers. If it's Eric's Barbers downtown, then you will STILL have to show your papers, but they will be green papers with pictures of various presidents on. Meow Purr.
