Animals don't go to bars, animals don't go to restaurants, animals don't drive cars.

Yet many animals keep the same mate for life.

    Collectivist bigotry.

My two labs are regulars at our local dive, and one of them, Max, has his learner's permit, at the age of 11. The other's name is Õlu. My wife is Estonian. You figure it out.:D

Humans are animals. "Human" is a word to describe our species of animal. it's a bit like saying "dogs aren't animals, They are dogs".

I agree with this, something I've always thought of. It's just part of culture, ceremony where bored people have an excuse to get drunk and act retarded.

Animals aren't defined according to what they can invent. Animal is a word to describe a category of organism, We fall into that category. Animal is a word, it has a meaning.

We are also primates. AND we are a member of the family of "great ape".

Sorry if you don't like it or if your ego finds it hard to believe, But it's true. It's what the words mean, it's not open to personal interpretation.

It's not a bad ritual, actually, this thing called marriage. Tough, many times, extremely tough, but a deepening thing unlike any other, in my experience.

Animals don't have so much brains like we.
So they don't marry. They live only follows theire instinct.

That is probably also for which I now are with a full collection of small little rats :D But dam so cute and funny :p

For people, I find marriage also artificial.
I've seen married couples who love to be by someone else.
    Specially also for sex.

When 1 of 2 is willing to get the marriage over, it costs a hell of money and problems to get
it finally finisched. And then not speaking about the kids. What they have to go through.

So I prefer just only to live together, whithout any marriage.
Marriage is a typical word from the old times,
that you think to be safer to be together forever with your friend/girl-friend.

I've seen marriages that do more harm than good these days.
Feels also more like a fight these days.
Otherwise I've seen people live together forever,
    whithout any marriage.
    Less pressure !!!

    Jason :)

I meaned animal in popular culture not the sceintic discription of animal as an organism.
in popular culture animal and human are 2 diffrent things.

why we don't have one common "animal rights group" for all species including human?!

instead we have "human rights group" and "animal rights group"

Oh, I thought it was based on each ones ability to invent stuff? Dropped that line of reasoning now then?

Jason, It could be suggested that marriage is an extension of our monogamous roots. Primates have a wide variety of relationship systems, Ours seems to be unique in that it is (generally) initially promiscuous (technically), And then monogamous when we reach maturity with monogamous being the most desirable relationship that we aim for.

It could be said that we start out like chimps with the aim of one day settling down and becoming a gibbon.

There aren't any camels in my back yard, I don't even have a backyard. But if i did and there were, It wouldn't matter... Because the definition of "animal" has nothing to do with the ability to invent.

We are animals, We are primates and we are apes. Just like fish, Baboons and orangutans respectively. They are names for ever more specific types of organism.

First of all, I don't compare myself like a primate.
Second, we as humans we have also a wide variety of choosing of how we will be together with someone else.

If we wanna be together ?
Seems these days we must be with someone to be happy ?
Good joke. Here in Belgium young people don't wanna be together here anymore. Or at least not too soon !! We are happy here and go out with friends. No need for relations.

Ok, I can now complain over and over again.
    I'm 31 years old and don't have a girl-friend in the last 7 years,
because they maybe think, that I'm to fat in theire eyes.

But that doesn't make me feel bad.
I'm happy then in other ways.
So I don't really need that someone couples me!
Because I feel more alone, instead of all other people.
If I lived 7 years without women, then I think I will survive the next upcumming years too !

Got many friends and I just love to be alive !
(eating, drinking, going to cities, hollidays, ....)

I'm more happy this way, then when I'm searching after a women.
Where women only complains: that I'm to FAT or something else.
Or need money for shopping/buying cloths.
And you can work all day.

If it's not that, then they will complain about other small things.
So all my nice old things will be over.
Because they wanna play BIG BOSS and have always the lastest word.
And then people say: that women are weak !
    Specially not in a relation.

    Jason :D

We are moving away from instinctual behaviour, But it's still there and most probably always will be.
