MarkMonitor > Godaddy?

I've heard a bunch of horror stories about sites that are earning six figures that end up getting hacked, and Godaddy refuses to help get the domain name back.

It makes me a bit nervous, and I'm looking for an alternative for major projects of mine. It looks like a lot of big sites (including Google) use markmonitor. Anyone have any experience with them?

What are their prices like? Didn't see any on their website...will have to contact them.

Do you mean for the purpose of domain registring its better to use name.com namecheap or domainsite.com instead of godaddy

Yes, the domain registrar. I keep hearing about these domains that get hacked, and Godaddy refuses to help get it back.

I'm looking for a registrar that is going to make people go through hell to transfer the domain to a different owner. I want them to be 100% sure it's me before any changes are made. Godaddy doesn't seem to have this security, since sites that are making good money are being taken with no fight.
