I am creating a website aimed at helping college students buy and sell text books. My question is how exactly should I market this website, I am looking for the best and cheapest way possible to get the greatest reach for the least expense, I have been considering posting my Myspace college groups but besides from that I don't have that many other ideas. Can anyone please give me some suggestions.

I'll put a link on my site if you like? It doesnt have any PR at the moment but should be PR3 or PR4 in the next run (with a bit of luck!!)

Don't forget facebook. You might have more luck if you have groups there too. You might also try an affiliate setup. Try and get a couple of college students at each campus to spread the word.

Contact the colleges directly to place advertisements inside the college or via the colleges email system.

i'm just out of the education market and you are in!! are you sure you want to go into this market?

my first question is are u selling to local students or the whole wide world?

2nd, have you research on other competitors in the industry? what makes you so special? so unique?

Better price? So how much price you are going to slash with your competitors?

Get permission from colleges to put some posters up that should help.

    1. Let Me Say We are Targetting Every College/Insitute in the U.S.A

    2. I have researched my competitors and I know I will have my work cut out for me however what seperates me from them is we support every insitute, community college, college, univeristy ect... We have them all listed in our Database, So thats one thing that seperates us heavily.

    3. Another thing is we also offer the ability to sell almost anything and not just textbooks even though lots of focus has been placed on that. Our service is 100% free and we have no plans to charge since we will focus on making money from relevant advertisements carefully placed and textlink ad spots we intend to sell.

    4. With over 4,000 Schools attended by college age students in the U.S. reaching all of them seems very difficult, one Idea I had was to create a flyer that students could print out and put on there School boards but for that to be successful more people need to participate and there actually has to be a userbase first.

The Site is not completed yet, I mean it technically is completed but I'm still making a few changes here and there before launch, we should be ready to launch in Early-Mid August, to be honest I want to launch Early August but I don't know if that would be too early but then again I know it takes time to build Rep. Please give me more suggestions, I've spent alot of time and money on this project and I want to see it succeed.

Are there any keywords you can capture that pertain to the buying and selling of textbooks ?
