Suggestion Marketplace "sold Quantity", "testimonials" And "rating"

As of now, we can not see how many quantities of a product is sold from the marketplace. I think it's a useful point, which gives a clear popularity of a product, to consider when buying something.

Secondly, If I were a product owner, I'd very much like to see some of the testimonials or short reviews from existing buyers in the product listing page. That'd also give potential buyers another way to compare similar products and get the best deal.

Shawn, will you please consider these two suggestions?

Go to person profile and check market place status of the seller. you can easily see how many positive rank person has. That will help you to buy a product.

i think, testimonials not available in new design of DP.

    Shawn help us.

Since they are just threads, what's to prevent a buyer from just writing a review as a reply?

Okay, that concludes the review part.
What about the "quantities of a product is sold from the marketplace"? I mean, a row with that data in "Information" column will be a nice addition.

Oh wait... actually, free items *should* be able to be reviewed. It was a mistake that the review tab wasn't there for free items. It should be there now (let me know if it's not for you).

As far as the quantity sold... probably not going to give exact quantities (would you want people knowing exactly how much you make as a seller)? You can already sort by highest products sold, so...

I was actually wondering about this the other day. I was looking at the "top grossing" ebooks and the info under all the tabs. Under the "Versions" tab there is a number associated with downloads. I assumed this was the qty sold/downloaded. Is that not an accurate number? Does it reset on a new version? I was doing the quick math and was surprised how little the top grossing ebooks made. But maybe that number is not what I thought it was.

This shows as the "top grossing" ebook with 47 downloads at $12 each, not counting what I guess could be some of those downloads to Premium members for free.

There was no download tracking in the old system, so everything was reset to 0 on the migration.
