Seriously. It's annoying when foreigners think they can get services done for little to nothing. I've witnessed threads with people from third-world countries asking us hard-working Americans to program full websites for less than $2. After PayPal takes a cut, you are left with what, $0.50 cents or less? Sorry, that's not how it works in America...
Premium members can already see the country any poster is in automatically (it works in conversations for ALL users regardless if you are a premium member or not... if you are having a private conversation with someone, you should know where they are)... Also shows the country for the thread starter when looking at a list of threads... I have actually messed with it a little more as an experiment to see how it would be if as an end-user, you could grey out (or completely hide) threads based on the country the thread starter is in, but never finished it.
You know, it would make alot more sense if this feature was available for all Established Members who use the marketplace, not just a Premium exclusive. It's already there for PM convos, so why not for threads and everything else? Is there any real reason for it being only partially accessible by non-premium members?
Well originally it was just for mods/admins only. In theory we could give everyone all premium member benefits, but that wouldn't make much sense since there wouldn't be anything for premium members any longer.
Meh, I figured you would say something like that. Lol Oh man, imagine if Craigslist made it so their listings were all bunched together and that the only way to distinguish between locals and non-locals would be to subscribe. Lame. :/
Craigslist is a marketplace designed for local commerce, this site is not. Also not sure how useful it would be to know what country someone on Craigslist is in anyway. If you are in the US and you are trying to buy something locally, the user being in the same country as you probably isn't all that useful as far as info goes. I'm pretty sure Craigslist locality is dependent on what the seller says it is... at which point we already have that function exposed via the user's "Location" field which they can fill in if they wish.
