    Hi,
I just started promoting my funny videos and jokes blog through yahoo groups and I'm getting some decent results (around 200 uniques/day come from there) and I have a couple of questions about marketing through groups
    1. what would be the best way to do it?...send one e-mail every day, or maybe send one every few days.
2.do you know any other sites which have huge groups for almost any subject? (besides the google and msn groups)

try not to make it look too much like spam (which it is).

Myspace groups. and don't do it too often (like once a week would already be plenty).

Be careful of spamming policy ;)
I would suggest to buy targeted traffic, if you have enough budget :)

For humor stumbleupon is also great. It too has groups, but a policy that limits the amount of URL's you can post at one time.

I find the best way to do it is post about various different interesting things and only one or two of them should be directly about your website. Also remember, you can make an interesting signature to drive traffic without spamming.

I personally wouldn't email every day, maybe one day a week. You get the "spammer" logo very fast these days, watch out.

If your site is linked from any forum/list you'll get a good amount of traffic.
Don't target topics/forums with the same category your site has: submit something related to the discussion or, even better, send replies to existing topics.

Answering Yahoo.Answers is also a good strategy. If you can find any questions related to humor, you can answer them and link there. Be careful about this too. I hear they've got an itchy trigger finger when it comes to spam.
