Marketing with MIRC

    Hi guys i was just wondering is it anyone else who tried marketing with MIRC? I decided to try it last night and it went pretty good actually, just need to know the right channels :)

    I tried to advertise playing counter-strike on the chat console. That wasn't work

    It can work, but will often be discounted as SPAM. I'd imagine not making it look like spam would take too much time to make it truly effective.

    I have paid for a billboard on a MUD once, though I'm clueless as to how effective it was, as the ad was not clickable, so it all came through as direct traffic.

    *ponder*

    If you are hosting a chat, then that may work though, assuming your marketing strategies are based on off-chat locations (like the client or browser).

    What kind of Marketing were you actually thinking about?
