Was wondering if there was anyone else on here who sometimes uses the creative inspiration of alcohol to assist in aiding writer's block, or come up with ways to think outside the box? The luxury given from being able to do some work at home
If you're just generating ideas, maybe it could help? The main thing is that you go over the ideas again when you're sober to make sure they're actually good
While drunk I thought I could will Google to send me traffic on autopilot. Come to think of it I wasn't so far off when I sobered up
I don't drink enough to get drunk, but I was on Ambien for a while - happened to be while I was writing a novel (my first—and only, so far). Every morning I'd read the stuff I wrote the night before "under the influence" and was always surprised what my brain had come up with. It was like reading someone else's stuff because I didn't always remember writing it. Some of it was my best work. Interesting how that happens. I'm sure that creativity would help in Internet marketing as well, but alas, I am not on that wicked stuff anymore.

Oh of course I mean you would review/edit the stuff you've written the morning after, but it's amazing what can be brought out when you are totally uninhibited I'm not advocating drinking as a valid inspiration tactic though

I would assume stimulants help you get stuff done more so than depressants. As far as creativity, either could work - everyone's just got to find what floats their boat the best. best way! ha! useually when a webmaster gets drunk they start shouting in the bar 'go check out my website!!!' just dont get too drunk... thats not good! best way to market is stoned ha!! get high and market
you dont even have to be at home to 'work online' these days, go down to a bar or even chill on a beach checking the girls out whilst having a bud light marketing on your iphone
Haha yeah, even with live poker you pay the price, I've done it a few times I know Although if you control the aggression it can work just depends. As for this thread, you lack focus when you're drunk it definitely doesn't make you think outside the box (I've never heard anyone tell me they feel smarter when they're drunk LOL). It makes you feel dumber that is why everyone does stupid shit when they're drunk.
