hey guys i thought after a long time of just being a visitor to the forum i should sign up and so this is my first post..be nice Anyways im currently working on a new website http://admediastreams.com/ there is no content on JUST yet as im working on the site offline for the time being. Im not trying to compete with adsense or adwords/adbrite/stumbleupon or any other company as such but i am focusing on the same sort of business model and audience just not on such a wide scale i guess. The ads i will be able to show using the ad code will be images, text, audio and video/flash. I was just wondering what would be the best way to go about marketing this sort of site as i know i could make quiet a bit of money out of it if done right. Cheers Sean
Try writing some articles and submitting them to article directories. Put your link in the author bio box. Jessica
You should get the thing working and then launch it on some good webmaster forum like here at DigitalPoint. You can start a FREE account for the first 100 signups, or an offer similar to this, to get the thing started. As more users signup, you can ask for user reviews and use other promotion techniques like PPC, Banner marketing etc to further promote it.
once you got some initial publishers, you can pay them to advertise in their webspaces! also, under each ad you display, write ads by admediastreams.com with a link or something!
sorry it took a while to get back to the thread,,,i hadnt received email notification that anyone replied yet :-( im getting close to finishing the "beta" for the site and just wanting some tips on how to go about promoting the site. Some very good tips so far and im pleased to know there are people on this forums that are so helpful. Any more tips or suggestions are much appreciated. Cheers
