    The potential is very high.
    Does anyone know how to make a good video? In terms of the technical aspects such as image/audio quality and editing?

    The video can be fairly amateur;
    most videos just have to have good content, not great product values.

    Also, is it possible to hire actors? I see lots of videos have extreamly hot girls in them (for dating sites, etc..) How do I get 1? This would be just so that at end of video, the chick can say;

    "vist XX.com " like a 3 second clip.

    Feel free to add in any thaughts you have about video marketing on youtube/google.

    Thanks

    You can get pre-made royaly-free videos from stock agencies.
    If you want to make your own, maybe you should check the yahoo videobloggers group for information.
    I've made some short films and some vlogs and your needs will vary: you can record good video from a decent digicam. The worst part is getting good audio.

    PM if yuo need help.

    Starting out I would think the pre-made videos would be the way to go, but good luck finding one with viral qualities.

    I create vlogs on YouTube and LiveVideo to market my web site and it pulls some decent numbers. Any advertising is good advertising.

    I use a Sony HandyCam, Ulead VideoStudio Pro, save the file as a WMV and I'm off and running.

    A really great site to learn all the ins and out of video production is http://www.video101course.com
