I've tried marketing using blog for quite sometime, although that got some response, but not as good as a website, anything that I have missed? Please help. Thanks
Unless you have a high traffic blog, it wont get you much traffic. Blogs would help you get good serp though. You should also use other marketing methods alongside.

You can use Blog as a communication and build up company reputation in a marketing perspective. However, Blog is only a part of marketing and need others marketing strategy to be implemented along with them too. If you use Blog in a wrong way, you won't get the results you wanted. Again, Blog is not an "All-in-All Marketing Solution" anyway. Many popular blogs come with attractive content written in a "Blogging" style. Not just got them plastered with formal company messages or announcement and sit duck to hope it works.
How do you market your blog ? blog itself won't get you serious traffic unless you do some marketing to get more exposure for you blog.
