Use a keyword research tool like Marketing Samurai. This will help you to find a profitable niche. Create your own ebook and give it away. You can create your own PDF at openoffice.org One of the best free tools to improve you SEO is at webceo.com
Which marketing tools you use will depend on what type of marketing you intend to do. Most online marketers aim at getting their site to page one of Google. If you're planning to do that, you'll need at least the following: 1. A keyword/niche research tool - There are lots around both free and paid. Take a look first at Google's own keyword tool. It's free and since it's Google is the most accurate you'll get for the Google search results (that's not to say it's completely accurate though!). You might also want to check out Market Samurai, Micro Niche Finder and Traffic Travis. 2. SEO tools. - You'll need to monitor your site and those of your competitors. Market Samurai has some SEO checking features as does Traffic Travis. You could also get a free account at Majestic SEO. There are also some pretty good free versions of SEO tools to download. Notably WebCEO and a suite of programs called SEO Powersuite (look for SEO Spyglass). 3. If you're using Wordpress, there are some very good free pluigins that you can use for marketing. All-in-one SEO is a popular one that most people use. There is also a free plugin that you can get from a site called Blogger High. It does the same thing as SEO Pressor but SEO Pressor costs around $97. The Blogger High version comes free. Search on any of these terms in Google and you should be able to find them. Hope this helps!
after you set up your online store well, you should do onpage seo firstly to set the site title, description, and keywords unique and popular to get searches in search engines. when the search terms fix,you can do the off page seo well, likedo blog post, artciles submission, press release, and forum posting like now you do...etc.I hope it is helpful to you.
Pay attention to what your competitors are doing. Compare your prices to theirs and your website to their websites. You have to surpass your competitors somehow in order to be successful. Your store must be very professional and inspire confidence. Create a clear website, with white space, and not a confusing website with many ads. You need a good web design, and a perfect and safe functioning. Your store must work well without causing problems to your visitors. Prepare everything in a very organized and smart manner, so that your visitors may follow the path you prepared for them, which must help them easily make a buying decision. Give them explanations.
Honestly... and I mean no disrespect here to anybody but, I see a lot of generic stuff being spouted off here. I mean, it'll work to a degree but if you have a very specific type of shop like clothing, then certain marketing efforts will work better than others. For example, if you are going to be selling clothes you might want to try your hand at various other (already established) places online that already has a lot of traffic and allows you to post your own business up to those users... such as ebay. Do you know how many clothes are sold on ebay every single day? a LOT! You can put up a hand full of auctions, let them run for like a week or more, make sure you take extra special care to make your auctions as "pitchy" and sales-related as possible, meaning take that page they give you and really sell your stuff like its the best on earth... chances are you'll be selling primarily to women, they get all excited and just hit that buy button on the spot. If you need an example go check out other auctions and see whats already sold and study their ad copy and see what they did that worked for them. Its a start, and a damn good one at that. Best of luck
