Marketing to Twitter Users?

    Hi all,

I was wondering how you guys would go about this, or even if you would. Now, I'm not talking about marketing on Twitter, but marketing to the users of Twitter.

Lately I've had an idea or two about how to build a list but the problem is that the only real connection between the subscribers would be their use of Twitter (or Facebook, or MySpace or other such social sites/networks; the list would be composed of users of a single network but I could have multiple lists). So, assuming that I built such a list, what would I (or you, if you had the list) promote/market to them?

I realize that there are a few Clickbank products directed specifically at Twitter and I could promote those. I'm just concerned that 1: the subscribers have probably been bombarded with those products already and 2: there's a limited supply of such items. Given that, I was wondering what else I could effectively promote to such a list. Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance!:D

Yes, establishing relationships and gaining the trust of your online friends can be a great way to offer
something that may be of value to them, or may bring income into their life. Just have to make sure
that your offer is for real, and does what you tell them it will do. Otherwise, you are not being trustworthy in their
site and word will get around that you are a scammer, or a pilfer or such.

Keep it clean and honest, and you will have customers for life!

    Just my 2 cents..

    SHE is totally RIGHT! ;)

You Must NOT Become a part of the problem, Instead be a Solution!
Try the Art of Redirection..ction...ction... (No I don't mean url redirects!)
I mean like Street Construction Redirection!
    Here's How!...

1). Ask rhetorical questions (questions that answers itself) like "Can anyone help me answer the question "Why Twitter Sucks?"!
2). Make sure to tell them to suffix the reply with #twittersucks or similar! This automatically builds you a twitter search query! Andafter about 30 of so replies "hit 'em" with a reason or "Sales page" of how to make twitter NOT Suck for Them!
3). 2 Days Later query the page yourself! Copy the link to the page and submit to Google, making your page search engine friendly, your keyword also a Twitter PR!

Do you know how to build a Twitter application? Something of use to Twitter users will bring people to your site, and help you build a list. You can then market to your list of Twitter users.

If you already have a list, ask existing members who already uses Twitter and make a note in your database. For new members on your list, start asking if they're on Twitter. Eventually, you'll have a significant subset who use Twitter. One way to get this information is follow those who respond.

Just a couple of ways to Market to Twitter uers!

    A) Gain Targeted Followers, Gain Trust! , then ---> Promote
    B) Search.Twitter.com use Targeted Keyword find people having Problems --- > Help and Promote

But Twitter is very useful if you know how to utilize it properly what many people that I know don't I am pulling in a stable income off of twitter and it's just great :D.

Twitter is a tough nut to crack if you are trying to sell to them. This partly has to due with the psychology of people who are on twitter, they are not interested in buying, it's more about being social.

The best way is to give them things they are interested in for free, something they can use right now, capture their email and then build a relationship with them for 3 weeks. Then after that you can start targeting things to sell to them off twitter.

Gain trust on twitter, sell away from twitter when they are not in the mindset of wasting time.

I have found, within my own use of Twitter, that if you are going to just sell without creating some kind of friendships/relationships with your followers, you are doomed from the start.

Chatting with them or engaging your followers in a conversation, even for a day will gain their trust and then you are able to offer things to them. Some will bite but the majority won't. That is where the numbers game come in.

I have created a new FREE membership site to explore all aspects of Twitter. From just tweeting to friends, to gaining a huge following to create an income from. The name of the site is Twitter Gone Mad and is at twittergonemad dot com.

Sorry, I don't have live link privileges yet.

    Regards,
    Kelvin

what i think what most people get wrong is because they try to sell from their tweets.

    No No No.

The tweet is to get them to your site. From there it's the task of your website copy to do the rest.

I've used twitter to simply post coupon codes to groups and have a few sales come through from the tweets. I can say it's a huge factor but every sale counts.

It's just spamming IMO. Sure you're trying to gain their trust first before you spam them, whoop-de-doo. There's no linkbuilding to be had there anyways (no relfollow). Any social marketing site that has no relfollow is not worth your time IMO.

Just quit the spamming (I assume you buy this list or what not? why have they already been bombarded by spammers?) and build a legit product. Go white hat bro. Nobody else is these days it seems. Go the path less traveled.

yeah but search marketing could still happen on twitter
