Marketing to soccer/football fans

I am looking to monetize a soccer/football niche. Most of the audience is based in the UK. They view my live soccer stream for free.

Any ideas or experience with this niche?

No, but i've added affiliate links to betting websites and sites that sell football shirts etc and find that they converted pretty well.

You can use affiliate sites like affiliate future which has sports shops...

You can try adding google adsense and see how it will work.. and if you r getting more than 1k impression per day you can go for CPM ads..

    hope this can help

    good luck

Think laterally. Have a sign up for a free report on football related subjects - example, the state of football in the UK, the financial plight of teams/players, gossip and news (watch libel and copyright issue). Why not have a downloadable MP3 - you could interview someone about football or just talk about it yourself. Or perhaps, promose to bring news and views about football, their club or just promise to let them be first to know of offers and discounts.

Now, the football niche wouldn't be as responsive as some (I guess) but the important thing is that you are creating a list that you can market to again and again. With affiliate links, this only happens once.

    I run SoccerAM.net :)

Feel free to sign up and whack a link in your sig, we have a big member base so would be good advertising.

For monetising you could use newsletters and have sponsors for them and send an email out every week saying "We Have This Game Live" to get people coming back and charge people to sponsor the news letter.

You could try Amazon Affliates to have footy related DVD's showing on the site.

Feel free to PM as I run a few bigish footy sites :)

    Adsense is an obvious option.

Affiliates linking to betting sites and football shirt sites are your next best options. Ensure that you are in a country where betting is legal though ;)

The whole point is to get repeat traffic- so ranking for keywords is something you could work on.

If you had a blog, get it added to some of the popular news aggregator sites- for instance soccerblogs.net and newsnow.co.uk.

I would suggest Adsense as well if you have majority of your traffic coming from the search engines.

Soccer is the most watched sport in the world ... that makes it a very good niche to start with ! I have customers in this niche and let me tell you they are doing pretty good.

Association Football is the most watched sport world wide, lol. Contests, competitions can be helpful in sport niche marketing. Chat area can be good for word of mouth marketing where members invite their friends to join.
