I have been in the SEO and marketing sector for a long time now and have decided I will blog once a week about what methods, software and tips about making money from websites on the internet.

I have a few topics that come to mind like link building, affiliate marketing and revenue from Adverts (Adsense) but what do you guys most want to read about?

Also, what would make a good blog post? Do you just want a list of things I do, or would you like more in depth details about the hows and whys of my decision making? Also... Would you prefer to watch a video of me describing things or is a normal text blog fine?

    Nate,

I had a look at your blog and here's my .02 cents....
    1. Blog about whatever you are passionate and knowledgable about. People will pick up on that. I'd put both beginner and more advanced stuff in there, but make sure that you enjoy doing it.
    2. You NEED a call to action on your blog. Preferably an 'opt-in' where people can subscribe and you have a way to contact your audience on a regular basis. You might create a form "my top 5 marketing tools" or something like that that you give them when they subscribe on your email list.
    3. Once you get an audience that is subscribed to you (yes...there are TONS of sites out there that talk about the stuff you're looking to target, but people 'click' with a personality...and if you consistently provide good content, then you'll get an audience that will 'click' with you)....then, SURVEY them to find out what they want. (don't take this the wrong way bro....I think you're already on the right track, it's just that surveying a thread in DP is going to be waaaay different than surveying an audience of people that have already expressed that they 'click' with you and want your information by opting in).

    Hope that helps,

    SCM

Yeah there are a lot of blogs like mine, but as streetcopmillionaire has mentioned most are bland faceless blogs with no substance - I am the face of my blog (or I soon will be once I get the logo designed and some more onfo about myself on the blog) and I will showing with actual live websites how SEO techniques work and putting them into action. So readers will know just what I mean when I do a tutorial.

Thanks for your input, what you have said does make a lot of sense. The call to action is something I am building into my blog I just don't want to put it live with only a few posts on it, I have more posts planned for this week and hope to put the CTA live then.

    Thanks guys.
