    Hi everyone,

I am a writer who is a senior is film school. i have written my first short film and i am looking towards kickstarter to raise funds to make this a reality.

I wanted to know what are the best marketing tips to help target my niche market, increase SEO, and gain awareness of my project before i launch my campaign.

I will greatly appreciate any information.
    Thanks

I'd suggest going by Social Media for projects like yours. You could start a Facebook page and garner your friends' support by helping you to share and spread.

You don't have to worry too much about SEO for Kickstarter campaigns. Try and get direct traffic from social media sites. Sign up on film forums and promote your project on there, and make a couple of guest posts on some popular filmmaking blogs.

    Here's a few ideas:

Start a blog or blogs about it. Write several articles and interesting content that tells a story about your project. Use the top blogging platforms.

Submit your blog to the top bookmarking sites. Make the titles catchy.

Hire someone in fiverr or other similar sites, those with massive followers to tweet or share the messages for you daily.

Create a facebook page then promote that page via facebook ads. You can choose any budget. If you don't have the budget for that then start inviting your friends to like your page and to share it to their own circles. Do the same for twitter and google plus.

    Hope this helps.

Have someone help you write up a compelling enough of a proposal that would make them want to contribute to your project. You also might want to make sure they understand the terms of the contract come time to sign.
