    Hey Guys,

As you have probably guessed by now, I am looking to receive some hints and tips in order to successfully market my website.

The website in question is TutorialHome.com, which provides Photoshop tutorials to the public.

We currently have over 25 unique tutorials on the website, and continue to add at least 2 a week to the database.

I have listed some of the tutorials within Pixel2Life, Good-Tutorials and Tutorialized, which seems to bring in a steady amount of traffic.

We are averaging around 700 uniques a day, and often hitting more than 2000 when a new tutorial is accepted into the above 3 sites.

However, as most people will agree, 700 is a nice figure, but I want it to be more! I want it to be 2000 uniques a day, with boosts to 4000 upon a tutorial submission.

So, thats where you guys come in.

What is your advice for such a website?
How should I market it correctly, and how much would it cost?

I look forward to hearing your responses.

    Kind Regards,

    Craig Berry.

Craig, there is loads of stuff you can do....

Submit your website to directories to get some one-way backlinks.

Submit "abridged" versions of your tutorials to article directories such as ezinearticle.som and goarticles.com, remembering to include a link back to the website or even the original article page itself to get more "deep links".

Compile these "abridged" articles into a free pdf guide downloadable on your website, including links back to the website (seeing a patter here?). This guide may be passed on to other people, sold on ebay etc.

Hunt down webmasters offering a complimentray service and ask them to "give away" your pdf guide as a "bonus" when people buy their product.

That should be enough to get you started.

    Hey Welsh,

Some excellent suggestions there, thank you very much!

In regards to the word "abridged", what exactly do you mean?

I love the .Pdf idea, how can I compile one?

    Regards.

I think welshbeef has hit the nail on the head. Great advice.
Abridged means condensed. Just take a part of the tutorial and put it online or as welshbeef said, make a pdf from it. You will have to purchase Adobe Professional to make a pdf file (thats the only way i know how). There might be other applications out there that let you convert a Doc file to PDF but I do not know of any other than Adobe Professional.

    Hi Craig,

You can get some free pdf compilers which you can create documents from existing MS Word files, you don't need to buy Adobe Professional. A simple search engine request will bring up a few of the freebies available.

Hey am in the process of doing something like this. Can I ask what kind of traffic quality are from those tutorial sites? do the traffic click on other part of your site after viewing your submitted tutorial?

Btw, your site is loading really slow for me and the popup is really a turn off.

    Regards,

    Dee
