    Hey Guys,

Im new to this forum so i hope you don't mind my n00b-ness to begin with :)

I have kicked off this adult website moneywankers.com on a small scale to begin with just to see how and if one could build up some revenue through advertising. Filled the site with content and put up some ads from and all that.

Now i created a facebook and twitter account for the site purely for marketing purposes. The content of those wasnt vulgar or anything, no extreme pictures, but still i managed to get my accounts banned in like 2 hours. Tried again with new accounts, same thing.

It kinda drives me crazy when i see that other adult websites are active with no problem. Neither facebook nor twitter care to explain exactly what rules i broke that led to my account being suspended. Do you have any ideas that might assist?

    Thanks in advance!

That's really weird for those sites to ban you for promoting adult content. Twitter has stated several times they don't police accounts unless they are horrifically offensive. Same with Facebook. Were you inadvertently spamming other members? That's the only reason I can think of for an account ban. If enough people report your account for spamming, they will delete it.

Social media and adult content is definitely a tricky thing to get around. It will eventually be reported if it is not found by the site itself.

This is usually stated in the TOS. Anyone reading those?

If you create a new account on those social media sites & appear to be promoting adult content, spam, or questionable content you are putting a target directly on yourself to be banned.

The harsh reality is these sites will ban you, and not tell you why. They have something in their TOS to explain this.

Aside from this fact, I wouldn't promote adult content via social media. It wouldn't be effective and in my opinion isn't the proper channel for such content.
