Marketing suggestions for internet radio

I was wondering if anyone could give me suggestions on marketing my internet radio show. We need to get money coming in so that we can properly advertise the show. Without advertising, we get approximately 100 new listeners every month and we tend to keep 90% or better in concurrent months. While I find these impressive for merely word of mouth advertising, it's really not much to approach investors with. Any help with marketing or advertising would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you in advance,

We call ourselves "Hardcore Geek Radio". We're comedy talk radio that deals in pop culture and new technology. We review the newest games on the market as well as reporting on upcoming concerts, some light political talk and a fairly broad range of music that doesn't go too far outside of the rock genre (ex. rock, alternative, funk, etc.). We also do celebrity interviews and parodies/skits. It's a lot to fit into a 2 hour show, but we manage pretty well. We've never had a negative review to my knowledge.

    Did you try podcasting?

Or video broadcasting extracts of your show on youtube, the funny bits for example...

You could also participate in gaming forums to build up some notoriety in this field.

Try to post transcript of your show on your blogs to attract search engine traffic and for people to get a feel of what you do online.

You could also give out prizes like games your review? autograph of the celebs you interview and all...

rep if you like the ideas :D

I like some of your ideas. We're starting to post on YouTube soon.

Podcasting is kinda tricky. If you don't have distribution rights to the music in your show, you can get in some trouble.

I want to do prizes, I just need to convince the game developers that backing us will be beneficial to them.

Thank you for the help, I appreciate it.

Certainly youtube will help you but it is not going to solve the sole purpose of your site as that will need listeners specifically "Radio".

Actually Bob, you gave me an idea. I have a radio feed button on my front page, but I think I'm going to change the link a bit. Instead of having it link to the station, I'm going to have it link to my ondemand content so they are guaranteed to hear us when they click it.
