Marketing strategy for Business site

    What kind of strategy would you use to promote a business related site?

    I'm just looking for general strategies.

    First, I would do SEO. If it is a local business, I would definitely do some offline promotion(business cards, fliers, etc.). Put a link in your sig on all the forums you belong to.

    Submit site to search engines and directories. Blog about site and add site to social bookmark sites.

    Links are still a good idea, especially from sites on related topics and/or authority sites. General SEO wisdom seems to be that links aren't as important as they used to be, but they still matter. Even if the don't help for SEO, you will get some traffic from well-placed links.
