Is there any textbook marketting strategy for selling physical goods? I know its very simple to question and very difficult to answer..
Its actually pretty simple. You can market physical goods in much of the same way you market online goods. If you have a good online shopping cart set up, then all you need to do is drive traffic. However, you will be focusing more on advertising methods such as PPC rather than articles, etc.
Just a heads up on drop shipping. I used to do it and it was all fine and dandy until my dropshipper started screwing with me. Make sure you have a dropshipper which you can trust and make sure he ships the goods on time. You know buy.com sells goods via dropshipping but they have actual contracts signed with big manufacturers to do. You'll see buy.com having tons of negative feedback due to non-shipment or late shipment etc... So just be careful
You need to be more aggressive with your if you already have your own products. Just do whatever it takes to stand out from your competitor. Be controversial.
