Just email companies and offer them your services, find ones who are obviously not using any SEO techniques and tell them you can get them up the rankings. Maybe do it on a deal where they pay on results, then they arent risking anything.

You should consider being unique in the SEO field. Get your own website ranked very highly in the search engines for competitive phrases, customers will then flood in. The old excuse of I don't have time to work on my own website is ridiculous and funny as the same people have enough time to spend all day posting on forums. Pete
