Marketing secrets?

You don't have to tell us your marketing secret (otherwise it wouldn't be one), but do you have one? How long have you had it? How much has it helped? Did you find it through experimentation, reading an article, a good friend, or somehow else? Has it been helpful? Is it still helpful? If so, how can you be certain?

The secret is good relationship with customers.

Once you get new visitors, don't attack them with any offers. Build good relationship with them then they will buy products from you. And will return you again. So your business is stable for long term.

I agree with you my friend.

The idea is to add value first before, we introduce any offers or sales services to our target audience.

    Well said.

Having your own affiliate program does wonders. If people are excited about your business and offered an incentive to earn money while telling others about it - it can become the best marketing system you can possibly have. The word about your business will spread like a wildfire.

Getting involved with your prospects/customers - deliver something of value for free(whether it is an ebook, tips, article etc). Make the time to understand their wants and needs and they will return the favor when you suggest something.

    Hope that helps

Agreed, having an affiliate program gives incentive to people for promoting your business. As long as the rate offered for referring customers to your service is reasonable, and the payout is on time, I'm sure many people would want to promote the business.

    My secret?
Give Great Value to your customers. I used to sell expensive products to earn fat commissions, but now after 3 years in this internet marketing niche, i decided to switch to sell a complete guide for newbies to start earning. Not immediately, because if anyone says you will earn immediately, they are lying~~ So currently, i am selling my product at $27. So cheap right! My product is my accumulated experience in one big package. But i no longer do this for the money but more for helping others the way my mentor helped me.

A few members already said that building trust and relationships
with your potential prospects and customers is the first and so important
thing. And yes, nothing comes over night. Take persistent action!
After you build trust building network of affiliates will go easy!

How to build trust!? Well, build a blog and blog consistently about
questions your customers might have! Give them value and answers!

There really is on secret when it comes to internet marketing. There are only 2 aspects to it.
    1. Traffic
    2. Conversion

For traffic it is always best to pick two methods you would enjoy doing -- then focus on those for about a month. After that discard the one that is least effective and focus more on the ones that is. Repeat the process again with more traffic techniques.

For Conversion, building a relationship with your future customers through email marketing is the best way. When you have a group of people who eagerly wait to hear what you say and trust you -- you can make 1,000's a dollars in one night by simple sending an email out promoting a product.

Last but not least -- TAKE ACTION. When you learn something new, implement it and see if it works for you or not.

Build a quality product, offer it for practically nothing (undervalue your product to the point where your competitors are confused), capture the market and improve your product obsessively.

That's the secret to a successful business. It's really simple, but once you have success it's easy to forget that last step (improve, improve, improve).

Traffic. Conversation. And VALUE. Promote valuable information and suitable products and your subscribers would love you so much, they will trust you. With this trust, it is easier to get them to buy from you instead of from other people selling the same product.

Yes 100% agree Howard. Providing massive value for free is the key role in making conversions. Your subscribers will begin questions themselves saying, "if he is giving away all this for free -- I wonder what the paid stuff is like?!?"

So as you said in essence Traffic, Add Tons of value to your subscribers, then promote products that will enhance the tips/tricks/information you have them, then profit.

Agreed again to the both of you! :) Having a solid product or service for consumers to bank on and trust is essentially the foundation that everything else should be built on. Once you've got that down, it's a lot easier to focus on driving traffic, building good customer relations and working on conversions from there.

On a slightly different note for "marketing secrets" - hmmmm... I personally admire brands who make a concerted effort to keep up with their consumers, whether it's showing a bit of care and concern or just posting something to acknowledge that they're listening and keeping up with the crowd. Oreo has been doing a fantastic job at using responsive marketing to amp this up. The recent haze from Indonesia that blew over to my hometown in Singapore rose to hazardous levels and everyone was rushing to buy masks. Oreo photoshopped oreos into a picture of a dude wearing a gas mask and simply told everyone to take care and stay indoors. Soon after, cloud seeding screwed precipitation cycles up and it rained HAIL on our tropical island - and Oreo posted a picture of a sky raining Oreos LOL.

Super adorable, massively shared and liked by fans all over unconsciously promoting the Oreo brand while knowing that Oreo knows and Oreo cares.

I forgot to mention that almost 100% of content (posts and pages)
you provide on your site must be free. It's so important
to offer a free product (ebook, videos, webinars...) as a part
of your effort to build a list. Then promote paid product directly to people
who are already on your email list. But don't just bombard them with paid products.
Be responsible and always strive to enhance other people lifes!

Yup, a little care and concern goes a long way. :) Hey i'm from singapore too! Welcome to DP!

I think whether or not it is free is not important. Well it may affect conversion, but at the end of the day, if it is value for money, people will see it and would buy from you.
