I was able to get a email mailing list from a third party and I was wondering is there any way I can face fines (regarding Anti spam laws) for sending a season's greetings or New Years wish from my company to the emails. I will not be selling any product to them just a greetings.
It's ok if: You include a way to opt-out of your mailing list. If the email account owners have agreed that their email might be sold or given away.
I know if it's an advertisement, you need to state it is. You also cannot be misleading. Wulkanen is correct, an opt-out is essential. These are all legalities you should keep in line, especially if you ever have someone else doing them for you. Good luck
If the user report any email as spam, then it may be considered to block the IP (the SMTP email server which you're using to send the emails). So, never try to get Email listing via thrid party service. Be Genuine. Get your mailing list yourself (with double-opt in option). Choose any of the best email marketing services like Comm100, iContact etc.
Well you can do that but may i suggest to include some gift in the email as well? An ebook or something...
