Marketing Proxy Websites to Yahoo/Google Groups

For submitting a website (a proxy website, although that distinction may not be crucial to make in this situation) to Yahoo/Google groups, what sort of an effect does the use of keywords in the subject and/or the body of the post have?

If keywords aren't important, then is there any accepted knowledge as to what sort of approach does work best?
